Our Story
Softwired was founded in 2010 by James Hallam, in Brisbane, Australia when he began contracting to technical projects as a business analysis and process improvement specialist. His background as a Software Engineer, and previous career in the boat building trade set the tone of pragmatic delivery and competence that Softwired is built on.
The team has since grown, and now has combined deep experience in delivering the full project lifecycle, including change and adoption . By operating in partnership with corporate clients and vendors, we've built a reputation for removing barriers and getting results.
Our team brings cross-cultural understanding of regional and remote operations in Australia, as well as our broader Pacific neighbourhood. We are skilled across multiple industries and disciplines, sharing learnings from all as we continue to deliver with impact.

As the founder of Softwired, he brings more than 20 years of experience helping organisations untangle complexity and deliver high-stakes digital transformation initiatives with precision.
As a degree-qualified Software Engineer, with deep experience in tools like Jira and Confluence, James builds powerful systems for product planning, team enablement, and work delivery.

Having grown up in Central Queensland, Cassy has a particular affinity with the regions, and the mining and resources sector.
